Background and Discussion:
The County released an RFP in late 2020 to solicit applications from service providers, organizations, and researchers to implement a three-year program. Three organizations were selected to receive funding.
Texas Children's Hospital was approved and will implement a community-based infant brain development initiative aimed at helping families support language development, connect to community resources, and access maternal mental health support.
The negotiated indirect cost rate agreement of 23% needs to be approved to support Texas Children's Hospital in their implementation of services for families and children.
Expected Impact:
The approval of the indirect cost rate will allow Texas Children's Hospital to successfully implement programming and reach expansion goals and targets as an Early Childhood Impact Fund vendor.
