Background and Discussion:
To officially submit CDBG-MIT projects to the General Land Office (GLO), CSD must certify income survey results on projects requiring income surveys. As part of the submission process, the CDBG-MIT program requires Harris County to document and report the beneficiaries and service area of each proposed CDBG-MIT project. For CDBG projects where the service area does not benefit the majority of the standard census geographic areas (places, census tracts, or block groups) in where the project is located, an income survey is required to document beneficiaries.

An income survey was required and conducted for the Chimney Rock Road and Anderson Park Drainage Improvements (Precinct 4). Harris County staff and consultants conducted outreach activities to notify residents in the area and performed door-to-door paper surveys. The response rate for Chimney Rock Road and Anderson Park Drainage Improvements (Precinct 4) was 84.94%.
