Background and Discussion:
The existing contract for this service is expiring and a replacement is currently in Procurement, however, the selection process will not be complete before the contract term ends. As such, the purpose of this Fifth Amendment is for Katy Managed Lanes LED DMS Maintenance services for the Harris County Toll Road Authority; to add a three (3) three-month extension and add additional funds not to exceed the sum of $50,000. The amendment will extend services from May 1, 2024 through July 31, 2024.
Expected Impact:
This contract will ensure that the toll rate signing is operational to display accurate toll rates for toll road patrons.
Alternative Options:
None. Lack of extending the contract will result in the Katy Managed Lanes LED DMS signs going without maintenance support until a new contract is in place.
