Background and Discussion:
The above is an eminent domain matter involving the Cedar Bayou East & West Subdivision Improvement Road Project located in Precinct 2. Harris County, Texas took a drainage easement to 0.0808 acres (3,518 square feet) as well as a 14-month temporary construction easement to 0.0779 acres (3,393 sf). The Special Commissioners awarded $ 9,446.00 which was deposited into the registry of the Court. Harris County's appraisal for the just compensation due to the landowner was $ 9,446.00. The parties have agreed that the just compensation due to the landowner for this taking is $ 40,000.00.
