Background and Discussion: Selective clearing involves the "selective" removal of trees and shrubs on natural, forested channels to create and maintain storm water conveyance without eliminating the benefit of shade producing tree canopies. The larger channels are programmatically scheduled to ensure sites are worked on a regular basis some are worked more often than others depending on the stability of the channel.
