Background and Discussion: The District uses this contract to support the removal of woody vegetation growing on District property designated for capital, bond, and maintenance projects. Common uses of this contract include, but are not limited to, vegetation removal for: topographical survey, geotechnical survey, maintenance access and site reclamation.

Expected Impact: Renewing this contract will allow the District to continue to offer these support services to all District Divisions and provide a value-based and efficient option to all Project Managers that have a need for such services.

Alternative Options: Alternative options include choosing to not continue this service. The District, specifically Project Managers and their Design Consultants, would have to pursue these services under each individual Project ID and secure estimates for those services rather than use this on-call contract at set prices. This includes securing bids, reviewing, and awarding work to various subcontractors that may or may not specialize in this type of work.
