Background and Discussion:
Antoine Drive improvement from West Mount Houston Road to US 290 is a federal funded project. The City of Houston has the advancement funding agreement with TxDOT. The City manages the schematic design for the entire corridor and also will manage the construction. The interlocal agreement is to define the responsibilities for the segment under Harris County jurisdiction from north of West Gulf Bank Road to West Mount Houston Road. The proposed improvement will include the new four lane concrete road with 10 feet share-use-path on each side, storm sewer, bus stops, two signals, etc.
Expected Impact:
The proposed improvement will provide the safer condition for both traffic and pedestrian.
Alternative Options:
The alternative option for the agreement would be denial of the federal funding. This will increase the construction cost to Harris County.
