Background and Discussion:
Project Includes installation of a dual bridge on Gosling Road over Spring Creek. Change includes additional quantity of roadway excavation (Contractor disputed earthwork quantities in accordance with the Harris County specification and adjustment is being made to this plan quantity item based on the outcome of the dispute). Change also includes additional quantities of various existing items and addition of new items for 12" PVC pipe and gradation 1 rip rap for the associated with additional work at the request of the Precinct. Several plan revisions were requested by the Precinct after redistricting.
Expected Impact:
Changes allow the Contractor to be compensated appropriately for the excavation work and also allow the Precinct to revise the proposed project in accordance with their preferences.
Alternative Options:
Reduce the roadway excavation to maintain the original quantity in the plans and maintain the original scope of the project prior to redistricting.
