Background and Discussion:
Project includes asphalt roadway reconstruction and/or rehabilitation on various roads within Precinct 3. Change includes relocation of mailboxes and cement stabilized sand, large quantity. Days are associated with the additional work associated with these new/larger quantity items.

Expected Impact:
Change allows continued mail delivery during the construction process. It also allows Harris County a reduction in item cost for a change in scope of cement stabilized sand (large quantity).

Alternative Options:
Allow mail to be held at the local post office for constituents to retrieve. Reduce the scope of the project to require a lesser amount of cement stabilized sand or compensate the contractor at a higher item rate for the sand.
