Background and Discussion:
The employer and resource fair will provide the opportunity to connect and engage with the local community and other regions that make up the Gulf Coast. The sponsorship amount requested will be utilized for costs associated with a conference room and reservation services for the event. The event is being organized by the City of Houston, the University of Houston, and the Texas Workforce Commission. As a sponsor DEEO will also be able to participate as an exhibitor to engage job seekers and promote upcoming open positions for the CDBG Mitigation and Disaster Recovery projects coming online later this year.

Expected Impact:
This event will allow us to engage with the community and other regional leadership in attendance. The expected attendance is 1000 to 2000 individuals, and over 75 booths have been reserved. In exchange for the sponsorship, DEEO will be able to meet with job seekers and promote our job openings. In addition, we expect the event and media posts to increase DEEO's programs and services visibility through the event's reach which includes promotions via the University of Houston Campus Press, City of Houston, and Texas Workforce Commission social media channels, promotional materials, and other media outlets.
