Background and Discussion:
Wetland Design, Creation and Planting to support Harris County Flood Control District with site stabilization, revegetation, water quality, and habitat enhancement as it applies to district operations and CIP projects. This contract is utilized to harvest and install wetland vegetation along littoral zones of wet bottom detention and channel facilities. It is also utilized to conduct varying vegetation clearing, and invasive species control, including herbicide when applicable. To perform maintenance on newly installed vegetation areas, nursery areas, and some mitigation banking areas where they overlap. Additionally, the contract is utilized to support Texas Pollution Discharge Elimination System compliance through planting support for new and ongoing special projects.

Expected Impact:
Allows Harris County Flood Control District to correctly time (planting season) the revegetation of Right-of-ways, which are disturbed by repairs or capital improvements and would require the reestablishment of native and desirable riparian zone vegetation.
