Background and Discussion:
On June 14,2022, Harris County Commissioners Court approved agreements with Harris County Public Health to provide CDBG-EN funding for nuisance abatement and lead-based paint hazard control projects that meet the needs of low- and moderate-income individuals and families in Harris County.

The project amendment includes a first amendment to an agreement between Harris County and Harris County Public Health for the Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program to revise the quarterly performance requirements, increase the total amount of eligible households to be served from five to 14, and add $100,000 in CDBG funding for a total of $300,000 in CDBG funds.

Expected Impact:
To provide funding for lead hazard control projects that will benefit individuals who reside within the Harris County service area of whom at least 51% are from low- and moderate-income households. A total of $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant Entitlement (CDBG-EN) funds will be added to the budget of the referenced project.
