Background and Discussion:
The project is located within the South Mayde Creek Watershed in western Harris County. The Roland Road subdivision consists of mainly roadside ditches and has been subjected to several flooding events. The scope and proposed improvements include surface collection, ditch grading and storm sewer conveyance of the drainage along Roland Road. The existing HCFCD U201-09-00 channel will be extended from Porter Road to Katy Hockley Cutoff Road to provide reduction in inundation of the subdivision. This Utility Adjustment Agreement allows the project to move forward with the improvements as intended by reimbursing MUD 495 for the relocation of their facilities out of conflict with the proposed improvements.

Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flood risk and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the community. This agreement is a step in the process to reduce the financial, physical, and emotional burden flood damage places on homeowners and will reduce the financial impact of recovery costs to the Roland Road and Related Infrastr...
