Background and Discussion:
Further information regarding anticipated and/or potential uses of this new revenue will be communicated to Court members as soon as possible and, at a minimum, well in advance of open Court.
Expected Impact:
There is no fiscal impact from this RCA as this item is for discussion to provide the department with Court's guidance on how best to invest this revenue. Any purchase orders or other resulting items will return to Commissioners Court for individual approval as required.
Alternative Options:
Commissioners Court could choose not to reinvest this revenue in improving inmate quality of life. In another alternative, Court could choose to prioritize different types of improvements from those recommended above.
