Background and Discussion:
The purpose of this program is to reduce opioid overdose death and improve access to opioid response services through partnership with Family Planning Program (FPP) providers established prenatal care programs, and other service providers. Grantee will establish and provide oversight for an Integrated Family Planning Opioid Response ("IFPOR") program. IFPOR programs combine prevention, treatment, and recovery support strategies with a primary focus on reducing overdose death. IFPOR programs implement programming using four key strategies: provide overdose reversal education and disseminate opioid overdose reversal medication; provide induction onto medications approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat opioid use disorder and link patients to ongoing care; provide peer recovery support services; and provide primary care to address any other healthcare needs.

Expected Impact:
Grantee will utilize four basic strategies to provide integrated and collaborative opioid response services.
