Background and Discussion:

Reconstruction of existing asphalt road as five-lane concrete, curb and gutter road along with drainage utilities for Crosby Lynchburg Road.

Expected Impact:

Reconstructing these roadways and underground utilities will improve pavement conditions and drainage, thereby improving mobility and safety for all road users and flood resiliency for all adjacent properties and Eisenhower Park. This agreement will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and various other construction materials. This testing will ensure the material's compliance with Harris County Engineering and other governing bodies specifications as required by state law.

Alternative Options:

Construction materials testing is required by state law. Thus, alternatives include executing an agreement for similar services to a different vendor or cancelling this construction project.

_ Economic Opportunity
_ Housing
_ Public Health
