Background and Discussion:
We have 3 of the major service providers on contract in the area that we use for our data circuit connectivity
and internet providers. For new circuits, we check with each to determine who has service availability in the
areas as well as overall best pricing and solution for the department's needs.
Expected Impact:
Provide network connectivity for all our HC locations and provide services for HC taxpayers.
Alternative Options:
We have looked at doing a Dark Fiber solution where HC would provide and support all the networking
equipment and support, however, this is a costly option.
