Background and Discussion:
The Atascocita Complex wastewater master lift station conveys flow to Harris County MUD 278. Lift station monitoring data has indicated that stormwater infiltration is entering the sanitary sewer system causing large peaking during wet weather events. This inflow and infiltration (I/I) contributes to additional cost to the County's wastewater discharge into Harris County MUD 278's wastewater collection system. Additionally, excessive inflow can cause sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) and possible TCEQ violations.
Expected Impact:
Eliminate inflow and infiltration (I/I) that may contribute to additional cost to the County's wastewater discharge into Harris County MUD 278's wastewater collection system.
