Background and Discussion:
This Interlocal Agreement will allow Harris County Water Control Improvement District No. 110 (WCID 110) to perform design, bidding, CPS, CMI, and CMT services while the Flood Control District provides construction funding and environmental support. The project addresses erosion concerns along the north bank of K100-00-00 west of IH-45, stabilizing the channel and protecting nearby infrastructure such as roads, utilities, bridges, trails, pipelines, and adjacent structures. WCID 110 will submit design packages at the 50% and bid-ready milestones for the Flood Control District review. No land acquisition, utility relocations, or encroachments are expected. The project is included in the Flood Control District's FY27 planning cycle.
Expected Impact:
The project will reduce erosion, maintain channel conveyance, protect surrounding infrastructure, and reduce out-of-bank flood risks for residents in the watershed.
