Request for approval of a Termination Agreement with Healthcare for the Homeless-Houston for Comprehensive Dental Care for the Homeless funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds.

Background and Discussion:
On September 18, 2025, Commissioners Court approved a CDBG funded Agreement for the provision of comprehensive dental care with $70,000.00 in PY2025 CDBG funds. The services include but are not limited to exams (comprehensive and emergency), x-rays, cleaning, preventative care, periodontal therapy, cancer screening, oral health education, restoration, extractions, root canals, crowns and bridges, dentures, and specialist referrals.
After approval of the Agreement, Healthcare for the Homeless-Houston (HHH) determined it would be unable to implement the project as approved due to changing organizational priorities and staffing challenges.
Expected Impact:
The Termination to the Agreement will have no financial impact on the County funds will shift to another project.
