Background and Discussion:
It is recommended that the Flood Control District be authorized to apply for grant award funds from the (Federal Emergency Management Agency) FEMA Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Program to fund the project in the White Oak Bayou Watershed. BRIC funding is available annually through funding allocation from the US Congress. The proposed project in White Oak Bayou Watershed will fund construction of the project. The Flood Control District plans to source the required local cash match ($1,250,000) from CIP or O&M funding.
Expected Impact:
