Background and Discussion:
The Apache Corporation is a Houston-based oil and gas exploration and production company. The Apache Corporation released the 2025-26 Tree Grant Program in spring 2025 with an application deadline of July 13, 2025. The program provides native seedlings or young trees for beautification projects coordinated by counties, municipalities, schools, churches, parks, or other nonprofits. The organizations receiving the trees are responsible for planting and caring for them.

Expected Impact:
If awarded, the trees will be planted to support storm recovery, flood control, and habitat restoration throughout Precinct 4, but with specific emphasis in the Inner Northwest, Katy East, and Northpointe/Tomball communities.

Alternative Options:
