Background and Discussion:
The Housing and Urban Development Grant Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes and the Housing and Community Development primary objective for the Lead-Based Paint Abatement Program is the development of viable urban communities by providing the following, principally for persons of low and moderate income: lead-safe and healthy housing; a suitable living environment; and expanded economic opportunities. The funds can be used for qualifying activities including acquisition, construction, and social services.
