Background and Discussion:
This request is to document the acceptance of the development basin P530-02-02, which was originally constructed to serve the adjacent Harris County MUD No. 23 neighborhood. In addition to its intended drainage function, this basin provides critical access to the P130-02-00 channel, which is otherwise surrounded by heavily wooded and undeveloped properties, thereby limiting entry for Flood Control District maintenance and mowing operations.

As part of Flood Control District Maintenance Project P130-02-00-X017, the basin was utilized as an access point to complete portions of the project. This access was granted through an agreement with Harris County MUD No. 23, under which Flood Control District committed to accepting the basin for ongoing maintenance in exchange for use of the property for project access.
