Background and Discussion:
During the freeze event in February 2021 the non-native eucalyptus trees did not survive. On August 23, 2022, Commissioners Court approved an agreement with Asakura Robinson Company, LLC to design landscaping that would replace the non-native trees with native species to improve sustainability and aesthetics. This construction contract will provide more resilient landscaping and storm water quality compliance for Hardy Toll Road at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport Houston (IAH) Connector.

On March 27, 2025 Commissioners Court approved the request to negotiate an agreement with Ally General Solutions, LLC for construction engineering inspection services for Landscaping for Hardy Toll Road at George Bush IAH connector. The expected construction duration is 42 months with 6 months for bed preparation and irrigation installation and planting installation, and 36 months for plant establishment.
