Background and Discussion:
Project includes replacing existing HVAC system at Precinct 2 - East Harris County Activity Center (EHCAC) with new?HVAC system including 5 air handler units (AHUs), 1 Outside Air Handling unit (OAHU) and 1 new electric?hot water heater.? EHCAC was built in 1992 and utilizes the original AHUs which have exceeded their life span. This project was initiated to address poor efficiency, excess humidity, and heat buildup. The proposed air handlers will address all these issues and reduce the electrical consumption.

The change order addresses extending current concrete pads for increased structural stability of new AHUs. The change order cost is $14,600.

Expected Impact:
The change allows the AHUs to have proper structural stability to prevent any structural integrity loss to the entire building.
