Background and Discussion:

In 2022, Harris County to entered into a Tri-Party agreement with the City of Houston and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership for the development, construction, and maintenance of the Buffalo Bayou East Project.
The Lockwood Drive project, a collaboration between the Harris County, City of Houston, and Buffalo Bayou Partnership, aims to enhance vehicular and pedestrian mobility while supporting the ongoing residential and recreational developments along Buffalo Bayou. This regional master plan will increase safety and accessibility through the construction of new roads, sidewalks, traffic signals, parking facilities, and trail connections, benefiting the community and boosting future growth. Harris County will provide funding for Project Costs, including payment for the Work and payment to BBP as consideration for the SPUR TRACT, up to the $4,088,075.00.
