Background and Discussion:
The North Forest Subdivision Drainage Improvements Project is in north Houston in Harris County Precinct 1.
The purpose of the project is to upgrade the existing system to handle the 1% annual exceedance probability
(AEP) event and reduce structural flooding. The funding is coming from the Ralston Acre Drainage Improvement project.

Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flood risks and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by alleviating property and structural damages to the adjacent community with improved drainage which will benefit 1,631 persons of which, 61.25% are LMI. This will reduce the financial, physical, and emotional burden flood damages place on homeowners. It will also reduce the financial impact of recovery costs to Harris County and federal flood insurance program.
