Background and Discussion: The project is located in northeast Harris County in the Spring Gully & Goose Creek and San Jacinto River watersheds. It is north of Barbers Hill Road and east of Sralla Road. The existing drainage consists of roadside ditches and outfalls to HCFCD channel O119-00-00. The proposed improvements are to regrade roadside ditches, upsize culverts, upsize outfalls and construct new outfalls, and construct a detention pond within the O119-00-00 channel for mitigation. The additional funds will cover the construction phase services agreement to allow for construction oversight of the project.

Expected Impact: This project seeks to reduce flood risk and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the Highland Ridge and Highland Estates subdivision.
