Background and Discussion:

On 8/27/2024, Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner and approved by Commissioners Court directed the Harris County Fire Marshal's office (HCFMO) to develop and present a plan for the sales of fireworks during Diwali in accordance with the regulations outlined in H.B. 608 [TOC 2154].

 

HCFMO will provide an attachment as back up providing feedback from public safety stakeholders in Harris County along with methodology for Court action to include an additional fireworks’ sale season.
