end
Background and Discussion:
The HHSC Title V grant allows the Harris County Public Health Dental Program to provide dental services to uninsured children and adolescents at the Southeast and Humble dental locations. The Title V funds allow the HCPH Dental Program to serve as the Dental Home to thousands of children and adolescents, ensuring they have access to comprehensive, continuously accessible, and coordinated oral health care.
Expected Impact:
Over 4,000 dental visits will be provided to uninsured children and adolescents in Harris County in FY2025 with Title V funding. Patients will benefit from receiving diagnostic, preventative, restorative, and basic surgical procedures which will prevent unnecessary visits to the Emergency Department for dental pain.
