Background and Discussion:
The scope of work for this project consists of the installation of approximately 2,200 LF of concrete trail around HCFCD Detention Basin P545-07-01 and approximately 1,100 LF of connecting concrete trail / sidewalk. The trail / sidewalk width varies from 5-to-8 ft. The project will also expand the existing swale system around the detention basin in order to mitigate floodplain fill and provide appropriate drainage paths.
This agreement will allow Northwest Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 23 to maintain the pond after construction.

Expected Impact:
Providing the trail and sidewalk will ensure reliable and safe pedestrian transportation and efficient movement of people for nearby communities and residents.

Alternative Options:
Court may elect to not move forward, and Harris County can explore additional options, however this will cause project delays.
