Background and Discussion:

Project include On-Call- Concrete Pavement Repair tasks for variety of locations throughout Precinct 3.

 

There is a no cost change and includes reconciliation of actual quantities used in construction versus the estimated quantities included for bidding purposes.

 

                     Major reduced item is valve/meter box adjustment (including water, electrical, telephone boxes)

 

                     Major increased items include:

o                     Full depth repair/replacement of the concrete pavement (7-inch thick or less) in areas 50 square yards or less.

o                     Full depth repair/replacement of the concrete pavement (7-inch thick or less) in areas greater than 50 square yards.

o                     Sodding for erosion control (16-inch width).

o                     Full depth repair/replacement of the concrete pavement (8-inch-10-inch thick) in areas greater than 50 square yards.

o                     6-inch reinforced concrete curb-removal, disposal, and replacement (mountable or dowelled).

o                     Repairing inlet (minimum bid - $300/each).

o                     Reinforced concrete pavement, 7-inch depth, including driveways.

o                     Reinforced concrete pavement, high early strength, 7-inch depth, including driveways.

o                     Furnish and install 6” concrete curb.

 

 

Expected Impact:

Change allows unused funds to be returned to the Precinct and allow the Contractor to be compensated for the actual work completed on the project.
