Background and Discussion:

The project includes the improvements of five streets near Texas Southern University (TSU).  The major improvement is Blodgett Street from Ennis Road to Scott Street including bike lanes, street and pedestrian lights, streetscape/trees, and other landscape in the median and boost floating bus stops.

 

Changes include additional linear footage of full depth repair to remove existing curb and gutter along Sampson Street.

                     Increasing line item #11: Full Depth Saw Cut and Remove Curb and Gutter - $2,000.00 - 2 days.

 

Changes include additional time due to Harris County asking contractor to suspend work in an area designated as possibly requiring panel replacements.

                     Increasing contract time by 12 days.

 

Changes include additional conduit and days to provide power from bus pads to new circuit locations.

                     Addition of new line item to Furnish labor and material to provide power to all bus shelters - $26,920.65 - 4 days.

 

Changes include the relocation of an existing fiber pull box that is conflict with the proposed sidewalk.

                     Addition of new line item to adjust/relocate existing fiber pull box - $1,200.00 - 0 days.

 

Changes include additional 5-inch sidewalk pavement for an area with a slope greater than 3:1 to avoid future possible undermining.

                     Increasing existing line item #28: Concrete sidewalk & bike path (5-inch thick) - $420.00 - 1 day.

 

Changes include the addition of a line item to modify existing signal light system due to construction of bus pad over existing loops.

Changes include the deduction of various line items to reflect actual work completed.
