Background and Discussion:
This project is for the intersection improvements and roadway widening at Clay and Katy Hockley - Harris County Precinct 4. Change includes costs associated with hydro excavation/potholing at four locations to determine the depths and casing locations of Kinder Morgan gas pipelines in conflict with road widening activities (Adding 4 days).
Change also includes addition of new item associated with the construction of RCB extensions and S.E.Ts. The existing triple run of 6’ X 3’ Box Culverts are approximately 60% full of mud and debris which limits the volume of drainage intended for the existing infrastructure (Adding 4 days).
Precinct 4 has approved above requests.
Added items:
PCO #1 Cleanout of Existing 6'x3' Box Culverts at Katy Hockey@ Clay Intersection (Cost total = $29,037.36, 3 Additional Days).
PCO #2 Hydro excavation/potholing at four (4) locations to determine the depths and casing of Kinder Morgan pipelines in conflicts with construction work. (Cost total = $32,059.23, 4 Additional Days).
Expected Impact:
Changes will allow for the addition of new item quantities to the contract so the project can be completed in accordance with the original intent.
