Request by Public Health Services for approval to accept an amendment to an agreement with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for additional grant funds in the amount of $850,186 for the FY 2024 Women’s Health Program (Family Planning/Healthy Texas Women).

Background and Discussion:
Programs’ additional funds will allow Public Health Services to continue to offer high quality, comprehensive, low-cost and accessible family planning and reproductive health services to more Harris County residents. In addition, the health clinics will benefit of having 1.5 dedicated staff to help with outreach, patient services navigation, and program application services, which will help increase the Healthy Texas Women patient volume.

Increase of Harris County residents who will benefit from women’s health and family planning related services.
