Background and Discussion:

 

Harris County Precinct 4 submitted a request to HCED PMO for HCED to manage the design and construction of the existing Precinct 4 office, Suite 950, 1001 Preston, Houston, Texas 77002.

This project includes the renovation of approximately 2,900 square feet of existing office space. The Prime Consultant will provide design services for new finishes, furniture, equipment, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, network, and security systems.

 

Expected Impact:

 

This agreement will allow the firm to conduct the necessary design for the construction to the existing spaces to provide Precinct 4 with an energy efficient working environment that meets the most current facility guidelines and standards while maximizing the use of the existing limited space.

 

Alternative Options:

 

Alternative option for this project would be for Precinct 4 staff to remain occupying the existing office suite without the renovations and requiring constant repairs and maintenance due to outdated mechanical and electrical systems.
