Background and Discussion:
This discretionary match will help fund staff position(s) to manage and administer grant activities. They will help in the regional administration of the Port Security Grant Program (PSGP), including project entry, reviewing expenditure requests, jurisdictional liaisons, and other eGrant and grant-related activities. No additional funding is being requested. This request will be funded with the existing CJO budget.
Expected Impact:
If accepted, $66,381.74 is the fiscal impact to the CJO general fund.
Alternative Options:
Without this funding, there will not be enough funds to cover the remaining salary and benefits for the Port Security Grant Director position.
