Background and Discussion:
Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) received a request from Precinct 2 for a drainage improvement project within Castlewood Sections 1 & 2 Subdivision. The scope of this project includes: H&H Analysis, design of curb and gutter streets, sidewalks, curb ramps at the street intersections meeting ADA and TDLR requirements, replacement of driveways within Harris County ROW, relocation of utilities and traffic signs as needed, survey, traffic control, SWPP, environmental and geotechnical tasks. Other professional services include project management and public engagement with the Precinct and residents.
Expected Impact:
To provide Precinct 2 with a drainage improvement design within Castlewood Sections 1 & 2 Subdivision in Precinct 2 to meet Commissioner's Revive2Thrive initiative to provide infrastructure improvements that benefit communities. This project is funded by Precinct 2.
Alternative Options:
Without this project the new drainage improvements in Castlewood Sections 1 & 2 Subdivision will not be realized as requested by Precinct 2.
