Background and Discussion:

Project includes the reconstruction of Cleburne Street, from Ennis Street to Scott Street, including new traffic signals, lighting and pedestrian features.  The awarded contract amount was $10,378,513.90.  The construction was completed in 2022.

 

This change in contract includes:

                     Final item quantities adjustment to reduce the previous change in contract amount from $223,249.23 to $90,023.76.  The deduction amount is $133,225.47.  The final construction payment is $10,468,537.66.

 

Expected Impact:

Changes will cause adjustment to the original contract to reflect actual work performed due to actual field condition so that the project can be completed in accordance with the original intent.

 

Alternative Options:

Reduce the scope of work to avoid the areas where actual field conditions differ from the design drawings.
