Background and Discussion:
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, 0.8M Harris County residents were estimated to be food insecure, with an additional 1.3M residents at risk of food insecurity. The pandemic only exacerbated these challenges, with local food banks seeing significant increases in demand for food. Harris County has been able to provide substantial immediate relief to local organizations, funding labor services to food banks across the County via an umbrella grant to the Houston Food Bank. The purpose of this amendment is to revise the statement of work.

Expected Impact: Strengthen Urban Harvest's food distribution infrastructure, support local farmers, and improve County residents' health through expanded access to fresh produce and nutrition education.
