Background and Discussion:

 

The project consists of services that will include Utility District coordination, CenterPoint Energy coordination, and lighting analysis and layouts necessary for a phased installation approach.  There are five distinct subdivisions within the Precinct 3 area of Highlands.  The project consists of a single design phase with two (2) installation phases.

1. Phase 1: Highland Woods Section 1, Highland Terrace, and Elana Townsite (approximately 61 Streetlights)

2. Phase 2: Highlands Townsite & Harris J.A. (approximately 190 Streetlights).

 

Expected Impact:

 

This The expected impact is to improve safety for both pedestrians and motorists while also deterring crime by

providing visibility at night for residents in the Highlands Community.

The alternative option would be denial of this project, which may keep the infrastructure and the development as it is.
