Background and Discussion:
Harris County desires to reject the bid received by CE Barker Ltd. and re-advertise the construction of the project with revised specifications. Only one bid was received and it was nearly three times the amount of the engineer’s estimate. Therefore the project specifications are being revised and the project is to be re-advertised. The goal of the project is to reduce area flood risk by maximizing the detention volume prior to rain event.
