Background and Discussion:
Additional Traffic Control Plan devices were needed to enhance pedestrian safety and trail closure during excavation of outfall structures and during the night when the contractor is not on site. A new bid item will be added to reduce the use Riprap Gradation 1 due to the market shortage of concrete Riprap. An additional 43 inclement weather days were added to the contract.

Expected Impact:
This change in contract is needed in order to complete the construction contract for this project.

Alternative Options:
This is an active construction contract, so there are not many alternatives to approving a change order other than cancelling the contract which is not recommended as doing so would substantially delay the remaining work in the construction contract.

Alignment with Goal(s):
_ Justice and Safety
_ Economic Opportunity
_ Housing
_ Public Health
_ Transportation
X Flooding
_ Environment
_ Governance and Customer Service
