Background and Discussion:
The County seeks to re-design of the roadway extension of Birnam Wood Boulevard, from 450' north of Hickory Gate Drive to south of J109-01-01. The re-design scope includes upgrading the existing roadway from a 2-lane concrete half boulevard section to a 4-lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard with 32' raised median and improved drainage. The Study Report has been finalized and is ready for approval.
Expected Impact:
This action will facilitate the design of the project improve the roadway and drainage conditions within this segment of Birnam Wood Boulevard.
Alternative Options:
If not approved, the project will not be able to proceed with the design recommendations in the Study Report and existing conditions will continue.
