Background and Discussion:
The project scope is to extend new water lines to a CDBG-Targe Area of Harris County that is affected by the San Jacinto waste pits. This project involves the installation of 7,740 feet of new water lines that would replace existing 2-inch diameter pipes that were installed in the 1950's. This project is located in Precinct Two.

Expected Impact:
No fiscal impact, total project budget remains the same for CDBG-EN funds. The amended scope of services will improve water supply and fire protection within the district area will benefit 1,640 persons of which 63.94% who are low to moderate-income persons.

Alternative Options:
If the amendment is not approved, then the low- and moderate-income households in the project area will not benefit from the infrastructure project activities.
