Background and Discussion:

This project is Batch 3 of Maintenance Protects on Cypress Creek and its Tributaries; this batch covers twelve (12) sites and construction is approximately 75% complete and expected to be completed by mid-2024.

The purpose of this change order is to reconcile pay items across seven (7) project sites to address changes in field conditions. This change order also includes the addition of three new pay items that were not included in the contract (turf establishment hydroseeding, temporary fencing and trench shoring for excavations greater than 20 feet). The cost increases due to extensions in bid item quantities and new pay items have been offset by deducting the quantities of items that will not be required to complete the project.

Expected Impact:

This change in contract is needed in order to complete the construction contract for this project.

Alternative Options:

Do not approve change. This could result in project delays and potential increased costs to bring on another contractor.
