Background and Discussion:
The Flood Control District's Channel Ownership Program team has coordinated with the City of Houston to accept the identified segment(s) of an open channel that was constructed and maintained by the City of Houston. The goal of the Channel Ownership Program has been to identify drainage infrastructure in the county that would be better serviced by the Flood Control District Infrastructure Department and to add these areas to the Flood Control District cyclical mowing schedule. This channel reach is located within the Sims Bayou watershed.

Expected Impact:
The impact on Flood Control District will be the addition of maintenance responsibility for the identified channel. However, this channel reach will be better serviced since it will be consistently maintained and monitored by the Flood Control District's Infrastructure Department and their mowing contractors.

Alternative Options:
