Background and Discussion:
This project was recommended by the C143-00-00 feasibility study. Its purpose is to reduce the risk and severity of flooding in the C143-00-00 watershed which has experienced repetitive losses. The project consists of replacing the existing culvert at Anderson Road and HCFCD Unit No. C143-00-00 as well as providing detention storage. This work will be done in conjunction with the Harris County Engineering Department Anderson Road project through a joint funding structure agreement approved by the Commissioners Court on July 18, 2023. Bond ID F-94 occurs in the 3rd quartile under the 2022 Prioritization Framework approved by Commissioners Court.

Expected Impact:
This item will allow the Flood Control District to negotiate with AKV to develop a scope and cost to conduct preliminary engineering, design, bidding, and construction phase engineering services specifically for the location, alternatives analysis, and design of stormwater detention storage.
