Background and Discussion:
The sale of this easement along Harris County property is to install, operate and maintain the North Harris County Regional Water Authority's water line in order to service this MUD District.

Expected Impact:
The proposed project will allow the North Harris County Regional Water Authority (NHCRWA) to supply wholesale drinking water to all the independent neighborhoods, municipal utility districts, small municipalities, and permitted well owners within its boundaries. NHCRWA's primary assignment is to develop and implement a strategy for complying with the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District's (HGSD) Regulatory Plan that requires a conversion from groundwater to alternate water via a 60% reduction of groundwater usage by 2025, and an 80% reduction of groundwater usage by 2035.
